Job Description
Benefits
• Ensures processes are in place for new hire assimilation. Plans, directs and supervises the operation of various employee benefit programs; analyze and evaluate policies and procedures.
• Interprets governmental laws regulating employee benefits practices.
• Coordinates administration, implementation, and monitoring of benefits programs, policies, procedures, and practices.
• Develops and implements solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Employee Relations
• Provides day-to-day advice and counsels various human resources and business leaders on labor relations matters including contract explanations, grievance resolution, and other related labor and employment matters.
• Conducts the investigation and resolution of employee grievances; coordinates the processes of responding to complaints.
• Uses knowledge, judgment, and experience to recommend courses of action on labor/employee relations issues to management.
Occupational Health & Wellness
• Develops, implements and manages the administration of OH & Wellness programs covering activities (training and awareness programs, communications) aimed at improving employee health and wellbeing and complying with company standards, procedures and strategy.
• Ensures effectiveness of presentations on wellness topics improve employee understanding and reflect changing needs of employees.
• Negotiates contracts with external facilitators for special events and presentations on health and wellness issues.
• Monitors the effectiveness of wellness programs and implements changes to improve overall effectiveness.
Total Rewards
• Ensures that the administration of various Total Rewards programs are in compliance with established guidelines, processes, and procedures and government requirements.
• Works with Regional TR team to revise or redesign of existing compensation programs or recommend new programs in support of the corporation's objectives.
• Manages the design, development, implementation and administration process and activities of compensation plans.
• Supports senior leadership team in compensation decision processes (other adjustment, salary review or job promotion, etc.)
• Ensures that the administration of various compensation programs are in compliance with established guidelines, processes, and procedures.
• Manages external market benchmarking and job analyses, identifying market trends and recommending appropriate actions in order to maintain the company's competitive position within the market place.
Performance & Development
• Manages the implementation of Performance & Development Process
• Develop materials/programs to enhance managers’ effectiveness and employees’ understanding of good performance management practice
• Produce informative dashboards to measure effectiveness of P&D activities to promote high performance Organization strategy
Training & Development
• Manages the implementation of the leadership development framework across the company.
• Consults with management, employees, and departments to identify training needs and achieve the end result of an effective training solutions.
• Reviews recommendations regarding the creation or acquisition and delivery of training programs that meet the company's needs and submits for approval.
• Implements measurement methods for evaluating training effectiveness against needs of the business.
• Suggests improvements to training events, programs and materials to improve effectiveness and meet evolving needs of the business.
• Reviews summary of training program assessment data and participant attendance reports and submits to management with recommendations.
• Manages delivery of highly effective, results driven training and development strategies to support firm and employee needs, goals, and growth.
