Primary Responsibility:
- Leads and directs the work of the company system operations team in accordance with laws and regulations, company policies, philosophy, policies and practices.
- Organizes the workflow of the team, schedules staff resources to cover daily duties.
- Regularly reviews departmental practices and procedures. develops/provides input, recommends and administers functional policies, practices and procedures.
- Supervises work and performs many of the day-to-day operations of the company system , including the development and implementation of user applications, and operating policies and procedures.
- Ensures day and night operation cycles are completed accurately and on time.
- Administers hardware and applications support for the company system.
- Ensures system efficiency is maintained with each operating system update aligning with the operation team from the HQ. Uses judgment to determine timing of operating system updates as recommended by HQ operation team, or as needed to address program bugs. Responsible for ensuring testing has been completed prior to releasing updates to operation system.
- Assists management in communications with personnel when program errors are detected.
- Responsible for set-up of all new system users, security requests, etc . Ensures such requests are completed in timely manner.
- Informs appropriate personnel of hardware ,program or operating system malfunctions.
- Provides functional support to other department related to internal/external audit requests.
- Engages with direct reports and peers to align goals, establish performance metrics, provide feedback and develop talent.
- Manages/monitors budget to maximize operating efficiencies.
- Reviews and responds to concerns raised about the department identified in audit/regulatory reports.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of increasingly responsible experience in related disciplines is required.
- 2 years' staff supervisory experience is required.
- Demonstrated aptitude for effective leadership of staff.
- Experience in data base administration /management or any logistic management system application preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in logistics or software industry preferred.
