JOB PURPOSES
To provide strategic and operational medical input to Medical – Marketing Business development, build external relations and develop professional connections with medical communities, and provide medical information on therapeutically assigned product support to achieve company Vietnam business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (primary deliverables of role; its scope; impact on strategy/ policy /business / people relationships)
KRA 1. Developing and establishing VN Business Strategy
• To participate as CCR member in developing and establishing business Strategy and tactical plan, in providing medical and technical support for therapeutically assigned product launching in order to maximize competitive advantages of company product and enhances company image.
• To participate by providing advice in developing the clinical trial planning/updating cycles, including R and D, regional and local studies on therapeutically assigned product
KRA2: Medical and Business Operations management
• To assist Medical Director to develop and establish the operational policies and procedures in relevant medical function (medical information officer or named safety contact ……)
• To ensure the Medical Governance is adhered to high standards of GSK Code of Conduct, SOPs and Policies in dealing with stateholders e.g KEEs, internal staff and other customers.
• To assist MD to support Commercial to develop and establish the operational policies and procedures, in commercial function
KRA 3: Clinical and Advisory board
• To assist Medical Director to develop clinical strategy to Marketing team for product registration and launching, providing supportive clinical data for proving product potential and competitive superiority, for market penetration, hospital/insurance listing and local guidelines input in therapeutically assigned product.
• To organize TA Advisory board meeting, provide advice for Principal investigator selection and management for speaker development and product endorsement
KRA 4: Pharmacovigilance and Materiovigilance
- To support Named safety contact in AE/SAE in reporting and investigation
For Named Safety Contact:
- To assist PRP to set up the system to receive and send reports to the relevant CSD
- To ensure information to be provided to GCSP, for the compilation of the quarterly PV report
- To ensure all operating company staff involved in PV activities are trained and training is documented
KRA 5: Financial and budget Management
• To follow-up and control expenditure as per the agreed medical plan for assigned TA and/or relevant task/activity
KRA 6: Information Management
• Develop & establish communication channel with KEEs and GSK staff in therapeutically assigned product
• Establish a system to manage all enquiries from HCPs, regulatory agencies and other customers (only for medical information officer)
• Provide medical background/product training (in case PM not yet available), epidemiological and clinical data, product/market information and competitors’ clinical data/information
• Provide advice on customers’ insights and medical needs
KRA 7: Internal/External Customer Satisfaction
• Establish/consolidate top KEEs/Medical Associations relations and maintain good networking to get medical advice/product endorsement, to develop advisors/advocates/trainers/speakers in order to add value to our customers
• Networking with all other company managers and externally, in order to build a transparent and consistent working environment within the company.
KRA 8: Building trust and company image
• Develop relationship with health authorities and medical faculties/universities through CSR activities and ethical/scientific projects in order to build trust and company image
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: University degree in medicine, MBA preferable.
Experience:
He/she must have at least 2 years experience working as a medical doctor or medical advisor/product manager. (3 years working as medical advisor/product manager for Medical Manager)
He/she should have a working knowledge of health system, international sales or marketing policies & practices.
