Job Description:
Planning, Analysing, Monitoring P&L
Responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining data gathering and analysis systems, including information such as: revenues, expenses, costs, investments, cash flow, pricing & profits in line with global and regional requirements, etc.
Perform all types of financial and economic data gathering, processing, analysis and forecasts to meet company growth targets. Analyze and review with/challenge functional and operational managers to ensure robust planning, and monitor risks/opportunities in execution towards financial targets
Review Forecasts, Latest Estimates (LEs) and Budgets and analysis of Actual.
Co-ordination of Budget process, ensuring budgeting timetable is on track.
Coordination of Strategic planning process and financial deliverables
Monitor and Keep track of all Risks and Opportunities for the business actively managing the P&L to ensure key objectives are met.
Optimising Net Working Capital, monitoring closely overdues and slow moving inventory.
Provide BPA support for business, ensuring financial analysis is sound with appropriate ROI and NPV’s for all business cases including investments and BD&L. Understand business requirements and proactively provide financial guidance to ensure bottom line is maximised and improved.
Financial Reporting and approval processes
Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of monthly management reports in line with company financial control manual
Responsible for accuracy, timeliness and the general integrity of the finance & accounting functions and related reports.
Responsible to ensure business is managed within the company Management Approval Limits, seeking Region endorsement in a timely manner when needed.
Business Partnering
Ensuring Finance takes an active role in business decisions by providing valuable information and recommendations, including reviewing/challenging all underlying assumptions.
Accounting and Tax
Responsible for managing accounting function including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue and asset accounting, banking activities, product costing, functional cost analysis and management reporting in line with Sandoz requirements.
Responsible for timely and correct payment of company taxes, ensuring optimisation of all tax opportunities and exemptions where applicable.
Ensure timely payment, directly or through shared services centers and processing of all payments due to associates, 3rd parties
Establish, manage and maintain local bank account and payment processes, as required by the local operation, in full compliance with local law/regulations and internal requirements
BPC / compliance
Implement BPC processes and controls locally, and drive improvements where needed
Ensure compliance with all internal financial compliance requirements, and IFRS/SOX requirements as needed
Drive cross-functional execution of all improvements required to meet standards and improve
Procurement
Manage procurement department
Ensure procurement procedures are implemented properly
Ensure vendor list and payment are proceed timely and accurately
IT
Manage IT Department
Ensure system run smoothly
IGM
Act as IGM Lead
Implement and ensure IGM Guidelines are implement properly
People & Organizational Development:
Allocate and manage work/activities/responsibilities within team
Develop/maintain/improve key processes / SOPs for the function, aligning with other functional stakeholders
Actively coach and partner with direct reports to build and implement their development plans and conduct performance appraisal discussions.
Recruit, develop and retain a motivated staff by assuring development and advancement is in line with talents and expectations.
Responsible for setting performance management objectives based on department targets and assessment of individual performance vs. objectives.
Others
Ensure appropriate Internal Controls are in place.
Manage in various process improvement projects.
Ideal Background (State the minimum and desirable education and experience level)
Education: Degree with Finance or Accounting Major,
Member of Professional Accounting Body
Languages: Fluent in Vietnamese and English
Experience: Experience (5-10 years) in financial roles in MNC (matrix structure), with record of increasing
responsibility scopes, and successful and effective financial planning, control, and audits
Ideally good understanding of Pharma business cycle and financial issues, including its regulatory environment
