KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

LEGAL FUNCTION

· Manage legal affairs at the SEEM affiliates

· Responsible for implementing and continually evaluating IO legal Strategy

· Assess legal risks and implement risk – minimizing action plans together with SEEM Management Team and BASEA Legal

· Provide fast, effective, high quality and business – oriented legal support for the affiliate’s key projects such as product launch, product registration, customer complaints, marketing campaigns and initiatives, competition law, and other relevant issues

· Ensure and effective contract management system

· Ensure compliance with relevant laws and legislation in SEEM in cooperation with BASEA Legal and IO Legal

· Coordination of external law firms in line with global legal guidelines

· Provide legal advice and primary oversight for all litigation matters, disputes and arbitrations

· Responsibility for Legal and Compliance department budget

· Provide strategic legal direction in market access and reimbursement matters including co-ordination of contracting with health insurance funds

COMPLIANCE AND BUSINESS ETHICS FUNCTION

· Further develop the local business ethics and compliance framework portal, enhance procedures to address local law and pharma industry requirements and to supplement the global policies

· Network internally and externally and liaise with other business partners and external stakeholders to ensure a harmonized and effective approach to business ethics/ compliance within the affiliate

· Provide high quality advice on business ethics and compliance issues and local support to staff by training, advice, communication, and other methods, as appropriate

· Identify and manage key Business Ethics and compliance risks (including internal and external investigations) in collaboration with GIA, BECO, BASEA Legal and Compliance and IO Legal, Quality & Compliance

· Work with the SEEM Management to devise corrective actions to business Ethics and Compliance issues

· Collaborate with BASEA Legal and Compliance, IO Region General Counsel, GIA, BECO, Legal, Region Quality & Compliance

REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum of 3- year experience from a large law firm or from industry ( preferably pharma MNC)

· Experience within corporate and commercial law

· Labor law experience or pharma law experience is a plus

· Experience with codes of conduct, FCPA or similar is a plus

· Experience with dispute resolution is a plus
