Job description
Responsibility for Legal and Compliance department budget;
Responsible for developing, implementing and continually evaluating the affiliate Legal & Compliance Strategy;
Independently review, interpret, evaluate and analyze relevant laws and regulations for the region and provide recommendations to Management;
Evaluate and analyze legal risks and provide assessment to Management;
Provide fast, effective, high quality and business oriented day to day Legal and Compliance support;
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and legislation in the region;
Assist in and coordinate projects, acquisitions, strategic alliances, co-marketing and co-promotion agreements in co-operation with Corporate Legal;
Provide strategic input and co-ordinate international legal working groups handling regional and affiliate projects;
Provide strategic direction and primary oversight for all litigation matters, disputes and arbitrations within affiliate;
Provide strategic legal direction in market access and reimbursement matters including co-ordination of contracting with health insurance funds;
Support in major contract negotiations.
General requirement
A degree in an accredited Law school is required;
Minimum of 5 years Legal and Compliance experience in the pharmaceutical industry;
Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and international business transactions;
Work independently and in groups;
Collaborate cross functionally with stakeholders at different levels in HQ, Region and Business Area;
Cross cultural understanding and experience in working with cross functional and regional teams are a plus;
Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
